Is there anything I'm missing that could fix this other than buying another AP to put in the Lounge/Dining room? I want to wait for Wifi6E before buying another AP unless that is ages away. Both running HT20 and HT80 for 2.4GHz and 5GHz respectively. Band Steering is off for both and SSID's are named the exact same. It works fine on High Transmit 5GHz but that ruins my roaming environment as the devices do not roam to the AP. However, on medium power the UDM barely reaches the Bravia TV on the other side of the house in the Lounge/Dining giving about 1-2 bars of WiFi and often drops out, I would be happy with 2.4GHz reaching it but setting Medium/Medium does not work. I did this because devices still seemed to connect to the UDM when they roamed near it anyway, I've left the AP on high for now to isolate changes for the UDM and make sure the UDM isn't interrupting the roaming. On my AP I've set 5GHz on High and Low 2.4GHz. To maintain this I've set them to have different WiFi channels, my UDM to have Medium 5GHz and Low 2.4GHz. I'm happy with this as long as it's stable. Upstairs room where internet activity happens often is about -90dbm from the router, so I put the AP there with a Wireless Uplink and it's slightly better now - devices get around -70dbm when connected to the AP. Dream Machine is hooked up with a WAN and is pretty much set down there (can't be moved). I live in a relatively big house that is 2 stories. I've been playing around with the settings a lot. I recently got a Dream Machine, very happy with it and especially wanted it to use with the AP-AC-Lite so I can up-link.
